Apply Dynax straight to bare metal or apply to painted metal?
Also, which Dynax should I get? It's for the underside. Is S50 the one to get for this?
Opinions gratefully received!

I've gone for S50 in cavities, and UC underneath - all wheel arches, under wings, outside of sills, boot floor etc. The clear stuff is good as you can get it on there really quite clear, so you can still actually see everything underneath. Ideal for detecting anything starting to show signs of rust. The UC has pretty decent mechanical resistance too, I actually wash underneath regularly with a soapy rag then rinse off. UC stays put. It's so much better than waxoyl.

I've had dynax UC on a vent blanking plate that I just painted with Acid etch, nothing else, for about a year and a half. You can barely tell it's there as it is see through, and no rust whatsoever has formed on the plate. Definitely paint before wax though, I did this purely as an experiment to see how the stuff would perform (dynax UC). I have been impressed - it is really good stuff!

Thanks for the feedback here guys. Very useful. I think I'll go to town on the 'belly' in the summer and get it bang on.
