As above, this is a ECU for the Cooper version of the SPi and is the non coded version (you don't need to match to the 5AS alarm) suitable for Japanese imports too.
Single plug variety.

Just wondering what folks think they are worth?

Yes the fuelling curves in the internal tables are different for the Cooper version over the standard SPi

This is a valuation thread, not a for sale one, sorry.

For a standard SPi you need the correct ECU matching the original, depends also on immobiliser this isn't the one for your car.

They rarely go wrong so it's unusual to need one, if you have trouble post up a thread in problems, technical and questions.

I just wanted to upgrade the map on my SPi... so it runs better and has a bit more power... there is nothing wrong with my ECU...

Mine has a standalone immobiliser, it isn't built into the ECU...

Can't be done in the way your suggesting mate, cooper has a more than just a different ECU

Out of interest, would my 1998 jap spi have different mapping for cooper or non cooper? Or was the power standardised to 63bhp by then? Cheers

OK mate, no problem :)

I was under the impression that the SPi Mayfair engine was just a detuned Cooper SPi engine, via the ECU...

I shall go down the mechanical upgrade route instead with a different cam etc.. :)
