Hi guys,

 

I will be using either a Megajolt ECU or Haltech Elite 750 ecu for ignition (to strat with) on my mini. Engine is an 1100 engine with twin 1.25 carbs and a cam.

 

In the future i will be changing the engine to a Honda B16 vtec, and the computer will be used to run that. On both engines (a series and B16) I will be runing a methanol injection system and electric water pump.

 

My question is this, can anyone provide any advice about either one.

 

Usability?

Tuning?

Expansion possibilities?

Has anyone used either?

 

I know the prices are significantly different and they both provide different functions, but I am interested to know more about the Megajolt.

hello where are you getting the Honda B16 engine i need one complete

If your going to run a Honda I presume using injection? That will discount megajolt which can only run ignition, unless you mean megasquirt?

Either way I would suggest speaking to your tuner as it is often much cheaper overall if they have I depth knowledge of the system you plan to use.

I bought engine a LONG time ago from a Japanese importer.

As with most things. Who is there there that can offer support. Haltech being native is what I would go ant talk to.

I admit to not knowing anything about the mega jolt/squirt set ups.

I will be going to Polestar when I finally get to that level as I one one of their first users and they can offer me the steps I need.
