It's an MPi block but still SPi injection system, it's will be SPi and there will be the tell tale white 3 pin plug next to the brake servo to confirm that's the case.

What year is it? My 1994 is standard SPI all the way but with air conditioning.

Yes poor typing on my part...what I meant is IF it's an MPi block but still SPi injection it will be SPi code reader pod.

Post 1996 for this type of motor and as noted before it the standard SPi block.

But best to confirm you have the white AMP 3 pin connector at the brake servo.

hi guys

another problem came up today !!

so as FS said that i will need a newer version MPI cable to plug into the EOBD plug under the dash on the left side of the steering column, my car is RHD.

but as some say on older mini, there is a white 3 pin plug beside the brake servo ....I HAVE THIS TOOOOOO

so i have a EOBD plug and a white plug on my 1999 JDM ROVER MINI

with using the error code reader, which cable do i need ? and where do i plug it in ?

thanks

the 3 pin connector near the brake servo is your mems' diagnostic connection and the obd style port I believe is for the srs system and a different scanner - not to familiar with that part though to be honest
