What am I missing, my aerial wont fit here ?

Hi,

 

That connector should be a hole/socket into which the aerial plug fits. The hole/socket is usually flush with the back of the unit. 

Try pulling out what's in there out, it should come out fairly easily!!

I think it is part of the radio,

It is the same size as the aerial just the center hole is a lot thinner.

Looks to be exactly what you need - the CD43 should have the elbow piece you mention.

Hello,
Did you remove the standard radio cassette when you fitted the cd43?
If so did you have issues with the wiriny harness not fitting? They seem to have different pins on mine.
