I wondered if anyone had seen or bought my Mini.

It was a lovely Checkmate. H576 BRY.

I sold it to a Mini centre in south east London about four years ago, in need of some minor rust repairs but with a freshly rebuilt engine and in pretty good nick. Possibly the biggest mistake I have made.

I expect it's been scrapped by now though.

RAC Vehicle Data Check Dan, don't know if you've seen this thread befoe, but I ran your mini through it and it looks like it's still on the road - last owner change 14 April 2000 - would that be when you sold it?

That would be about 4 days after I sold it (I don't think selling it to the trade gets registered as a change of keeper anyway though). They guys in the shop said they were going to do all the repairs before putting it on sale. They can't have had time in less than a week though. I even provided them the complete new set of decals I got from my girlfriend for my birthday. Oh well, at least they didn't break it.
