On the mpi there is a square ended threaded bar to tension the alternator belt? anyone know if this needs a tool and where from as a socket doesn't seem to grip it enough?

Don't know what the proper tool is for it, but i have always used a normal socket jammed over it, i think it was a 13mm 12 sided socket if i remember correctly. Make sure you undo the nut on the black tensioner wheel a little bit, and it should turn quite easily....
