inner arch hasn't fared too well

 

 

but I have made some progress..!

subframe mount and inner and outer sill now on :)

 

 

still need to add the bottom part of the b-post and tidy up and finish off the bottom of the a-post.  then I'm fitting the closing panel at the subframe mount and covering the whole lot with the doorstep panel that goes from the apost back to the arch.

this has to be the slowest resto ever! 

anyway,  had a month off it so decided to make a bit of progress yesterday.

 

managed to get the door step in.  I didn't finish dressing down the welds as I had to pack up so sprayed it over with a coat of zinc primer.

not sure adding URL's from facebook seems to have worked very well as they've all vanished lol.

so after a couple of months off i've managed to do fit inner and outer sill to the other side.  new flitch panels to both sides,  a new scuttle,  new door step, new wings and A panels and even managed to reuse the front panel that was fairly new and held on with self tappers!

 

 

 

 

thank god the door still fits!

got a bit more work done this weekend.  both subframes in and it's back on it's wheels.

under sealed and seam sealed the underside and arches etc and stone chipped the lot.

 

turned my attention to the doors.  The drivers door is not fitting well,  very tight at the back and a huge gap at the a panel.  the door frame it'self was in a bad way so will have to look what it looks like now that it's all repaired.

okay so it's been a while!!    and after a lot of graft the last two weekends I'm now here.  the reason for such a delay was due to the fact that the asbestos garage that I was working in,  decided to fall down almost around my ears.  so I had to build a new garage too

 

so here we are now

haha... a little bit milky looking now and I had to cut two chunks out of the middle for the bonnet stripes.. never done it before but happy with the result :)
