Hello everyone :)
I'm looking to replace the heating unit in my '73 clubman, but trying to get my hands on one has been harder than I thought! Anyone know where I could get one?
I have seen a good condition second hand unit for sale, but its from a '94 mini 35. Will this fit my '73?
Any info will be much appreciated! :)
Cheers

Not sure which is the correct one for your car, but as far as I know by the 90's, the coolant inlet & outlet pipes were vertical on the left side of the heater unit, the earlier ones had the pipes on the right hand side/

My car is a 1993 & did have the wrong heater, since changed for the correct type.

Ah okay, so looks like I'll have to get one age specific, rather than just being able to fit any mini one then.
Thanks! :)

If you look carefully at your existing heater & determine where the water pipes connect, you should then be able to find one on Ebay or similar, there are several S/H Mini parts sellers as well, one that springs to mind is http://www.minimail.co.uk/parts/

Any could be made to fit, the main differences are the size of water and demister pipes.

For identifying Part Numbers, -what was originally fitted, -& what the part looks like you'll find the Somerford Mini site really handy-

http://www.somerford...page=page&id=99

http://www.somerford...age=page&id=100

As Ethel stated any heater unit can be made to fit IF you're prepared to spend time &/or money.

If the unit is original & you want to keep the period look you could always do some research into just replacing the heater core or fan maybe with a more modern or new part.
