The power they produce will be similar to any conventionally tuned mini, that's to say a worked head, decent manifolds, exhaust and filters

So when the insurance company asks...has this mini been modified you say yes or no as it's been done by a professional company?

A mate has a Palmer mpi. It's an mpi with some nice stickers. There's nothing special under the bonnet, standard head etc. The one you mention may have been worked but I'd ask Palmer what's been done to that particular car.
I'll stick to the John works version

If its a JCWs mini then that fall under the cooper banner as its an inhouse conversion.....but the Palmer mini will fall under the modded mini insurance
