Blue And Yellow Wires Which Is The Live?

Trying to wire up a solenoid for vacuum, but the 2 wires are Blue and Yellow. Anyone know if these are standard colours and which would likely to the live and which one the earth? Cheers

It won't matter if it's an iron core solenoid - it very likely is.

It is quite heavy

Without it powered, you could see if a magnet will pull the valve enough to click when it's released. An iron core would click regarless of the polarity of the magnet. A magnetic core (unlikely) would repel the magnet if the poles matched.
