Interesting that people don't have time to call suppliers and arrange deliveries and to check current stock these days but they have time to complain about suppliers not updating their internet stock lists.!!

Our purchasing dept at work never rely on internet ordering for urgent parts. Pick up the phone and talk to suppliers.

It is more like that the 48 hour delivery service offered does not work.

Read the post.

Before ordering these parts I had contacted another supplier for something else and was told 5-7 days. It actually went out the next day and I had it was delivered the following day.

Oh I have also had items show In stock but not but was informed of that. Different supplier.

This order was in stock. Was dispatched in fair time. But the delivery was not as suggested. That is what they need to address. If it is going to be 4 days then says so or if 48 hours actually means 48 working hours then say so.

Any way it did arrive and has now been transported 1000km in 12 hours.

I've just finished work, I find it very hard to find time to ring suppliers, it's far easier for me to place orders online. If you're going to have an online shop you need it to show stock levels accurately.

To minimise the risk of late delivery on urgent parts it is prudent to phone to check stock levels and delivery on any items ordered. Maybe Amazon and other large distributers have an 97% stock level accuracy but to expect any smaller distributer is unrealistic in my opinion especially when ordered out of hours . They should achieve 99% accuracy via phone orders as they can check stock levels at the time of order.

I did read the post.

You quoted "I would say a set of KAD rack limiters is a small order. Just that KAD no longer list them and no one else has them."

So you criticise the late delivery not praise the fact that this supplier was the only supplier that could supply !!
