I'm doing this conversion on a 1991 car with triple clocks in line of sight, ive cut the original plug off and have checked the wires and have a question, why have i got a red/white wire that I can't find in the Haynes manual wiring diagram, is it dash illumination?

Andy.

My red/white appears to be green and red.

That should of been that my green/red wire is in fact red/white,does anyone else have this difference in the 3 clock inline plug wiring?

It it mostly red with a white stripe, or mostly white with a red stripe? That makes a big difference. Red with white stripe is pinstrument panel lights, from the panel light switch or dimmer to the lights. White with red stripe is part of the starter circuit.
