Trying to work out how much it would cost to start autograss racing.
Mini - sub£100
Stuff for the mini; roll cage £200, one bucket seat £90, harnesses £50, brush and pot of paint £10
Helmet £70
Licences to race? Do I need any?
Trailor, hmmn that could be quite expensive, would need a tow ball fittted to my mums car or something too.
Hmm, what else?

a set of tyres every coupla meets, battery cut off switch, fuel cell (i think). minimag just had a thing about starting off in autograss. The engines cost the real money, because they are all so similar, it takes a lot of know how to get the last drop of bhp out of them.

Buy one that's already race-ready. It will be the best thing in the long run. The rules are so strict you can easily mess things up by fitting the wrong thing or not fitting something you should. Even the numbers etc have to be a certain size etc.
Yes, you will need a licence to be able to race. Currently about £50 for the year plus an entrance fee and signing on fee at each meeting.
Check out the main site, find your local club and go and have a look and a chat with someone.

Season is just coming to an end so you might be able to pick yourself up a bargain as a lot of people get rid and build a new car over the off-season.

I've got a set of 5, 5x12" wellers with autograss tyres (came off an old grass track racer), was going to refurbish, replace the tyres with road ones and stick on the mini, but I’ve now got other plans.

But you can only fit 12" wheels to a grasser IF the car, when it was on the road, had 12" wheels fitted as standard !!!!!!!!!
Hence my post above about so many places where you can go wrong if you start from scratch with no idea !

Smashed to bits? Erm. Not really. It's a non-contact sport ! Gray's had the same car for over 10 years and only needed to replace panels once.
