Problems removing steering wheel

Has anyone got a socket i can borrow to remove the steering wheel from my 77 mini 1000? I cant find one anywhere. I think the size i need is 1' and 5/16??? Anyone know if im right. Oh and im in the Oxford area.

your a bit far away to borrow mine but a quick tip is to loosen the nut but leave it on when you pull the wheel off

this stops you having the inprint of a mini badge on your fore head :D

Any auto supplies shops should have one. that's where i got mine. the guy even said "oh, is that for a mini?" when I asked for the size.

i think youll find that its 15/16 not 1 and 5/16 as you say
