Front Wheels Spaced Wider Than Rear Wheels

Best Answer Will16 , 03 July 2016 - 12:01 PM

You have disk brakes on the front, which stick out wider than the drums on the rear. Your rear drums should have a built in spacer and look like this:

but it sounds like your rear drums are the non spacered type, which are 1" narrower and look like this:

Hi

I have an SPi Cooper with a Sports Pack that was added later by the previous owner.

I had the car on the ramp at my brother-in-laws garage and noticed that the front wheels are spaced about 1 inch wider that the rears. The gap is the same both sides and I don't have spacers fitted.

Is this normal? What should I look for?

Many thanks

Andy

The track on the front is wider than the rear on all minis. It makes them look like they're crabbing on the road.
