Hi all,

I have a 1960 Austin Mini Seven, with a dodgy fuel sender. I'm trying to locate a replacement, but not having much joy. It is the screw in type (rather than the later locking ring type).

Does anyone know of an alternative, or can I use the later locking ring type instead?

Many thanks,

It works differently to the later one, so to use later sender you need the tank, sender, fuel gauge and voltage regulator, they are pretty basic and pretty sure if you dismantled you could repair the coil. Failing that just keep an eye on eBay and post wanted adds where you can.

Thanks for the info Daz, I might try and repair it in that case and keep an eye out.
