OK just before i get really exited i just want to check that Liverpool victoria are acctually an insurance company not some conn company. So is anyone insured with them. I only ask because i just phoned them up and and they gave me a quote on my cooper 1275 for a 17 year old or £1019. They did say they have a speciall offer on at the moment and they will give 1 years no claims to a new young driver.

I just wanted to see if anyone was insrued with them or know if the acctuall are a company if so ill be buying it now.

yes i was insured with them for my first year and it was around the same price for my cooper, i think i had the same deal as they have somehow given me 2 years no claims for one years driving. but i dont think that will work with many other companys, my renewal was only 660quid aswell which is nice.

hope that helps

the liverpool victoria is a long established insurance company its actually a friendly society which means it has no money grabbing share holders all looking for there share of your premiums hence there lower prices

I was insured with LV on my first car (1.1 106) they were really competitive :D and I could do any cosmetic mods I wanted, but I was told that anything that could give power increase was a no-no.

Before you get too excited, phone them back and ask them to quote you for an agreed value policy. If you don't and you need to make a claim you will get bugger all back for the car.

Speaking from experience, I will never insure another mini on anything other than an agreed value policy. It's just not worth it, especially if you plan to throw money at it.

If you would like me to be more specific I will.....I bought my first mini. It took me 2 years of work to maintain, improve it etc etc etc. Renewal time was due and I phoned round (as you do). I had an agreed value policy waiting to come into force once the current policy ran out a week later.

I get up to find my car had been stolen. Not only that, as I had been working on it the day before, I stupidly left every tool I possess in there.

To cut a long story short......because it was only a 'standard' insurance policy they paid me peanuts. Even after a big fight they wouldn't up their offer at all. The amount I got wouldn't have bought me a set of wheels !!!!!

Please take heed and get your minis insured on a proper agreed value policy. It costs me only an extra £15 a year and I have none of this heartache to go through again should anything nasty happen again.

I'm with liv vic £890 for 998 with alloys for 17 yr old, but they wouldnt do a agreed value. The only thing is when i got the papers through it said 50% off introductory offer (which they didnt mention), so i dont know what its gonna be next year.

I'm 17, insured under my own name, without any no-claims bonus, tpft with Footman James for £425.

Beat that! :proud:
