Hi all,

Not sure if this is the correct place to post (admin please feel free to advise or move accordingly?!)

Having spent a couple of nights in the pub recently with some friends of mine (1x bike mechanic, 1x car mechanic, 1x very handy autograss/stock car/rally cage builder/fabricator), we have decided we want to take my standard '74 Clubman down the R1(preferred) or vtec route. we want to keep it fairly standard to look at (except wheels/arches/brakes) and run FWD to allow rear seats etc to remain.

Anyway, without boring you all too much, I'm wondering if anyone has any plans or details of measurements/angles etc of a front completed subframe to fit an R1 engine to, which they would be willing to share with me to allow my handy friend to begin fabricating one it would be greatly appreciated. I'm interested in any advise/pitfalls at this stage which i'm sure is something that has been asked to death already, and I'm interested in complete 'from scratch' subframes or 'modified from an original' subframe ideas/plans

thanks for your time guys and look forward to discussing further with you!

Dossy.
