Hey

it feels good to be here

on the forum and where I have finally got to in the rebuild of a 1993 SPI

I am going through some diagnostics, the cooling system, brakes, clutch and so on

I just got a battery in the boot and was amazed to see that everything seems to work - I am such a spanner with electrics

when I put the hazard / warning lights on all 4 indicators flash in a regular pattern but when I use the indicator stalk nothing happens

can someone point me in the right direction as to what I should check or should look for

to get the indicators to work normally

thanks

Check the fuse box they tend to corrode from behind plus the fuses Also the connections in the loom but could probably be the stalk
I had the same problem and after lots of testing it was the stalk

When I had this exact same problem, it was a dodgy Hazard light switch - even though the hazards seemed to work fine, it was stopping the indicators working.  I had everything apart, including the stalk, replaced the relay... and it turned out to be the blinkin' switch.

Full circuit and colours is in the FAQs here http://www.theminifo...it-colours-mk4/

Check the circuit along its length will identify where the fault is, I assume your ok with a voltmeter?

Thanks for all this good advice - it's all noted down on my fridge and I will get to it and

let you know what the culprit was
