Rust all gone, zinc primer applied; now what to use to seal the underneath, used resin on the inside; do I use it underneath or stonechip paint?

Any advise welcome

I would prefer to add a few coats of your chosen primer, preferably epoxy, over the zinc primer and under the stone chip, so that protection is maintained if the stone chip starts to peel. Of course you can paint over the stone chip (may need an isolator coat) in body colour.

Schutz stone-chip is very good and you can paint it in body-colour without further priming.

On my old Land-Rover Discovery tow car I use black Waxoyl mixed 60/40 with old engine oil and blow it on at around 60 psi. It takes a while to dry, but if you do it every year the underside will never corrode.
