Here's a pic
The 'R / A' button selects the Display between showing Engine Revs and 'Dialled In' Advance Angle (on the flash)
The '+ / -' key is to Increase or Reduce the Dialled in Angle
The '4 / 2' button is to select between 2 and 4 stroke.
(Sorry gazza, the Instruction linked were a bit lacking mate)

But I just remembered the inductive pick up witch you attach to spark plug wire number one cylinder near radiator.
The arrow on it ;I set it pointing down and not up towards the spark plug.😨
Will this give me a wrong timing ?

And for the 6th time, don't exaggerate!
No, shouldn't matter.
So, with that new Timing Light, you'd disconnect the Vacuum Advance, set the engine to 1500 RPM (which you can see with the Tacho function), Set the Dial Back to 10 degrees and then line up the timing marks to TDC, check the RPMs and go back and forth a couple of times until it is right.
Then reconnect the vacuum line, set the idle speed and your done.
<EDIT: On reflection, your timing light is no good, so you'd better give it here

If it registers RPMs and Flashes, then no.
