I've got a Wanner. Old but gold. Snapped it up on eBay last year.

+1 for a Wanner. Swiss made so top quality & there is usually a few on eBay for less than the price of some new probably Chinese rubbish

Also +1 for Wanner. I spent 2.5 years struggling to grease the car with new guns and it was always a struggle, and would usually end up with the gun breaking.

With the Wanner gun its becomes a quick simple task.

I got an old one at a car boot sale (probably 30+ yrs old) and it's amazing. I find with some tools that the more modern stuff is expensive and never as good as the older stuff.

I rescued an Alemite A500 from the skip at work, about eight years ago. I'd buy another one if it broke- which I doubt will ever happen.

My father bought a Wanner in 1959 for our first car, a Ford Pop. It was expensive for the time, about £6 if I recall correctly. They are still expensive.

When he got a company car in 1967 it came to me, acquired a flexible hose from Halfords, and continues to give good service to this very day. At the time I was doing 20k to 30k miles a year in Mini no 2, it was in use every few weeks, which may be one of the reasons why I had to do very few ball joint and radius arm bearing replacements, and only ever one upper arm. It had plenty of pressure to get the grease into the joints.

Buy cheap, buy twice...
