I want to set the ride height on my recently installed hilos. What should the height be for a standard car at the front?

You can turn the hi los out and read the number of threads to get where you are happy

8 threads is very high,

most people have it fairly high at the back and a little lower at the front

it's nice if it's high enough at the front to be able to slide a jack under the motor block

and also it's less likely to scrape

the front, depending a bit on who you are is just about the height of sticking your head right under the block if you see what I mean

and too low and you may have problems between tyres and rims and the hi los being a bit loose

that's my experience so far

You really need to measure and correctly proportion the corner weights to make proper use of the HiLos, once you have set the ride height.

If you lift the car under the 'motor block' you are lifting it on the engine mountings, something they are not designed for.

Always lift under the subframe at the inner end of the lower suspension arm and under the front of the rear subframe when lifting the back.
