I've bought a mini with a supercharger already fitted to it, however it's running like a bag of nails and I was wanting to remove the supercharger the now and just get it running NA for a number of reasons so is it as simple as removing the supercharger, take head off and take out the decompression plate out? Can I leave the bottom pulley on the car the now as I want to be back is a mini as quickly as possible and really I just need to get the engine running and a good clean/service and this car should be ready for an MOT.

Also if anyone has info on it that would be useful as I'm planning on refitting the kit to my other mini when I rebuild that.

Yep pulley can stay, taking the rocker cover off my help to gain access to the manifold nuts. May need to reroute fuel line and chokecable, different needle in carb. Decompression plate out. That should do it. Have a look a podifold if your looking to reinstall.

Thanks, the guy installed an electric fuel pump and fuel regulator but I'm hoping the original fuel pump is still attached to engine so I can use that so hopefully rerouting the fuel line shouldn't be an issue. Good shout on taking the rocker cover off,not sure if I'd have thought to do that.

Not sure what's been done to the engine apart from that, he rebuilt the engine but I'm fairly certain there are no other mods to it.

If the last owner has rebuilt the engine he might of put a turbo camshaft in to suit forced induction. I dont know if that would cause issues when running na but just something to think about.
