ive got a 76 998 the red ignition light was staying on but it was quite dim when it is running and then the starter started clicking i think because its not getting enough power so i checked the alternater and it is chucking out 14.3v so that seems fine and the batterys putting out 12.6 so i took the earth off the battery and cleaned it up tryed again but no joy and now the indicators or fuel gauges don't work and the ignition light is still on. i tried taking the key out and swiching it to ignition and the fuel guage worked but as soon as i started it up it went back down to empty again but now it does nothing. any help is appreciated.
