I will be soon changing my door handles to black as the chrome ones suck!
Ive done a search but couldnt find anything
Does anyhow have a comprehensive guide on how to change the door handles on mk3/4/5 doors?
Cheers

door cards off
undo the bolt (philips head) that holds the front of the handle in place from the inside
the rear bolt is on the edge of the door right next to the door lock (you may habe to loosemn the door lock to get at it if you have trouble getting a driver on there!)
look into the door towards the lock and you'll see the mechanism from the handle connected to the door lock. prise this off (it's a push fit) towards the inner doorframe. it should pop off
rotate the hadle down and out from the outside
fitting is the reverse!

and you need the key to get the barrel out, unless you take a leccy drill to them !
or just spray your chrome ones black...
