Hi folks.

I have an unused wheel bearing set (ie one corner) which was in a box of parts I got given. Brand new, still wrapped in the brown paper, tied together etc. They are Timken bearings, but were in a Quinten Hazell box. The box was open, so I can't be sure it is the correct box. The part number is QWB 159C (on the box) which checks out as a front wheel bearing. However due to the fact that they are timkens in a QH box, I'm not 100% sure I can rely on that part number (would QH supply Timken bearings?) .

The part numbers on the Timken parts themselves, are LM67049A on the roller bearing, and  LM67014 on the solid 'cup'. Is this a front bearing ?  - oh incidentally, my car is a 1992 8.4" disc car (converted to 7.5" brakes / 10 " wheels, but kept the original hubs).

Thanks!

Craig

Yes they would, many motor factors did this QH being one off many. All they did was buy the bearings from Timken and re-package them using their own unique part number in your case QWB159C. Unipart did the same and are probably the most obvious and best example. The one you have I'm pretty sure without looking it up is a front taper roller set and if they are still tied together should include a matched spacer and will almost certainly be the genuine Timken item.

LM67014 and LM67049A are is the Timken reference for a front wheel bearing and cup ( you need 2 )
