1985 mini mayfair 998cc, bought as an unfinished project so unsure if the fault was already present when last used 5+ years ago,

Issue - R/H indicators and tell tale on dash works fine

L/H indicators don't work, tell tale on dash stays solidly illuminated (doesn't flash)

Hazards don't work.

I have emery cleaned all contacts, joins and earths that I can find, and I have replaced the fuse box (old one was beyond repair) and all fuses, and also bulbs and relays.

I am beginning to think it may be a break in the loom somewhere so will be carrying out a continuity test.

Am I overlooking something else/obvious?

I've had a look through the search function and yet to find the answer, however there is a lot of results to go through so if anyone knows which one I should be looking at and can provide a link that would be appreciated too.

Thanks all

Bulb all illuminate? Mine had a dodgy holder that caused similar issues on the front

no bulbs illuminate on the L/H side or any of them when hazard switch is on?

Bulb holders, had completely overlooked them! What an idiot, shall get them checked and cleaned up.

Worth a look also worth checking the hazard switch and tracing the loom for the left hand side. Mine was a front holder was gone but my rear bulb still illuminated all be it permanently.

So update, now got the indicators working Yay!
Hazards still don't work Boo!
Replaced the switch and relay, still nothing.
I have power going in the switch on the light green/brown under the green/red, but not in the LG/B next to it, should power also be going in there?

The  relay should have purple white going into it this is live, looking at Haynes there is a fuse for it, I seem to think its an inline one not on the holder.

So check thats live.

Light green/pink going into the switch should be live but it comes from the flasher so obviously it will be on off on off :)

light green/brown are part of the indicator circuit, they just go through the hazard switch so they are disconnected when hazards on.

Success! There was a break in the purple wire, I gave the wire a wiggle while doing a continuity test and that revealed the fault, replaced that and now have working hazards :)
I also replaced the horrid looking spade fuse for a proper inline fuse while I was at it, more for looks than practicality.
Big thanks to dyshipfakta and lrostoke for help and advice
