Hi guys, I have a set of twin 1.25" SU carbs going on my engine. They currently have some cheap pancake filters on them, but they aren't giving me the bulkhead clearance I need (plus I've been told they will be rubbish).

Could anyone recommend where to get some cone type filters from? And is there really a difference between the K&N ones and the unbranded ones that look identical?

Cheers

Chris

Go for the K&N filters.

Random question, will these fit my 1.25 SU's? They're a bit cheaper than the K$N equivalent.

It's a step up, but when I build my 998 up with twin 1 1/4" SU's I'm going for the ITG foam filter induction kit from MED. It's expensive but I think it looks cool.

Mr Vizard strongly recommended K&N filters. It was his first lesson, five minutes into this two hour video.

When you think about it the itg kit from med is good value for money. It's also what I will be buying because the K&N filters and then buying stub stacks is really expensive

i had twin chrome pancakes (cheapies off ebay) and the induction noise was fantastic :) but i believe they are terrible for airflow. i have been recommended itg several times, and they look smart!

If you are like me and don`t like masses of induction noise google Vortz racing for the ultimate airbox.

They are quite simple to make and have plenty of room for decent ram pipes.
