I have replaced both ends of the heelboard subframe fits fine but when i look at where the spare wheel fits from under the car the subframe is about 6mm further back to where it was before looking at the mark from before, will this be ok?
Thanks

Do you mean rear subframe?
Firstly as well as the healboard did you replace the subframe or is it the same one re-fitted?
Did you replace one side of the heal board or both?
Are there any new parts fitted.. ie trunnions?
I guess we'll have to decipher exactly what is different now to before the repair.
I don't think 6mm will be a problem, but it depends whether it's the same both sides.
I prefer to measure wheel centres too, You could compare that one with others on here.

I wouldn't have thought that the rear subframe could not move rearward much as the rear trunnions practically touch the valance closing panels. Plus for the rear subframe to move rearwards would mean all four of the mounting points would have to be moved. There is space between the subframe and the floor, are you sure that it's not an optical illusion? ie the angle that you are looking at it from underneath.

Yes rear subframe
Same subframe
Both sides of heel board
No new parts as yet
Yes looks same both sides
Have no wheels on car at mo its on a spit
Where the original mark is on the underside where the spare wheel fits it looks parrel to the the subframe so guess its the same on both sides, at least im consitant:-) just not sure to rip it out both sides or just carry on?

I dont have the valance closing panal fitted as yet still waiting for it to arrive but good point would be so nice if it was an optical illusion but some how dont think it is think i will have to take it apart and start again:-(
It was repair panels i used so can understand it being little further back but 6mm seems bit to much????
Thanks so much for the input first time here

Good point about the rear trunnions. Basically they wouldn't marry up with the bolt holes in the floor would they if it had moved this much.
