Hi;

(1982 1000HLE Saloon)

I have bought some new front braided brake hoses that run from the front hub to the subframe. Looking at the ones I have fitted, from underneath the wheel arch they seem to have a long rubber cone shrouding the hose where it meets the underside of the subframe with no nut visible to undo them?

Can this shroud just be pulled down  or do the hoses undo from above?

How the heck do you get at the top of the RH brake hose - there is no access hole like there is on the LH side?

Hoses undo from above.

When refitting the braided hoses make sure they go on the correct side...they are handed..

One as a deeper threaded section.

Or they "may" not be handed...

They can in theory be identical provided that they both have a machined flat end face for the right side banjo and an internal cone seating for the flared pipe on the left side. Check these features and fit accordingly.
