New engine

1310

10.2 compression ratio

Big valve head

Swiftune SW8 Camshaft

Hif 44  BDP needle

Distributor has locked weights as running Aldon Amethyst loaded with Aldon yellow curve

AEM wideband fitted- Idles at 13.5 which I think is 2.5 CO%

 

Starts easily and can adjust for idle.

After revving it up the revs will drop very low and the air/fuel leans out till it stalls

 

Have tried driving and can just get moving by riding clutch but as soon as I let it out it stalls

 

First thoughts were air leak but have been unable to find one

 

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

Diaphragma leaking in the HIFF? So the needle does not come up out off the jet?

Had the carb apart. Needle wasn't swinging freely 1 way. loosened the screw a touch .I guess this may of caused needle to stick slightly.

I also changed the spring to a yellow

Seems to have cured the stalling problem however Ill have to wait to tomorrow to give it a good try as its a bit late here now and neighbours might get upset.

Do you have the settings you put in to the Amethyst for the Aldon Yellow Curve.  I'm about to drop my engine back in and want to map my Amethyst with the Yellow Curve until I can get it to a Rolling Road.

The values are in the frequently asked questions sectionshttp://www.theminifo...advance-curves/

Those values are at distributor revs so for example the 2 degrees at 750 will be 2 degrees at 1500 in the amethyst
