Anyone tried the nankangs?

I am in need of some new boots for my mini in 175/50 13.

After pricing up the yokohamas at £397 delivered I started looking at the nankangs which are £320 delivered but I can only seem to find them in medium compound rather than soft which are available in the Yoko's.

The car doesn't do many miles so wear rate is not an issue, my current set have perished rather than worn out!

Were the A048's E marked? I'm guessing they are for the road?

Interestingly Demon Tweeks show E-marked A048's in 12" size as an option, no such option for 13" versions though. http://www.demon-twe...van-a048-r-tyre

Yea for the road and occasional track blast's.
It seems to be a bit of a grey area the e mark thing from what I can find. They all have the dot mark on them.

Nothing grey about it. The A048R 175/50x13 is no longer E-marked, they're now marked for competition use only, so unless you want to risk running competition tyres on the road the Nakangs are your only option out of these two tyres.
