Pretty much just curiousity this one but does any one have any specs on the metro vs mini cast manifolds for a 998. Got a cheap inlet side coming I'm going to have a play with but wondered if anyone has experience using the metro cast stuff on a mini and indeed if it is worth it lol.

From memory the metro 998 manifold had larger inlet ports than the mini HS4 inlet manifold.
Depending on state of tune this may or may not be a good thing.

Wonder how it compares to the alloy ones like mg metro.

Poorly.
Probably so but perhaps not such a bad thing on a bone stock 998

I used these exclusively back in the day when I was an apprentice. Yes they have big ports, but they worked well on 1275 based engines. They don't rot out like the tubular lcbs. You need a decent set of exhaust clamps and downpipes if still available. I used to do tuning kits for Midas kit cars, and used to retain the stock metro exhaust and fit maniflow down pipes. Plenty of power and no restriction. Again 1275 based engines.

What about the mpi/spi type manifold, how do they compare flow wise?
What would they be like on a small bore?
