If you'd spent a load of cash on rebuilding a classic mini, would you paint it "**** brown"?

 

Me, neither..

I actually like Russet Brown, although I know others refer to the shade in a less than favourable term....

It does look like a very nice job, but still a bit steep price wise. Are the seats original, I'd have expected striped covers, not sure about the instrument binnacle either, unless it's painted.

 

Air filter is off a Metro and gear knob suggests remote not rod.

If it came out of the factory in brown it should stay that way as it is all part of the history of the vehicle and does affect value, non original colours . I agree the price is too steep, but there are plenty of chancers out there. The Gaiter on the gear stick is wrong as is the knob. The steering wheel should to the later 2 spoke type. No GT grill badge and I would also think the petrol tank should be the 7.5 gallon one not the 5.5 gallon.

Those 70's colors are becoming popular again......brown is not for me but some people like it.
