Hi, my mini has been an on going restoration for the past 8 years, I've finally got it insured but I've installed a new aftermarket speedo with the mileage now reading 58miles.

I've been asked by the insurance company to fill in a mileage declaration form.

Now obviously 58miles doesn't stack up for a 1971 mini and I've long since thrown out the old clocks with the actual mileage.

What do I put on this declaration form?

Thanks for your help

Have a look on any MOT certificates you may have. Newer ones have mileages.

makes no difference.

put what it says. send a photo if you feel you need to.

it has nothing to do with the actual mileage the car may have done.

If you really want to know you could try the 'dvla mot check' just need your Reg and vehicle make, it only goes back as far as 2006 though so you might get lucky. Just an option.
