Just had my 91 cooper repsrayed, the roof is white and rest is BRG.

Now I have got my car back there is no chrome roof guttering on it.

I prefer it, what I would like to know is the guttering purely cosmetic or does it serve a purpose and will it do any damage if I dont put it back on,

hi the only purpose of the plastic roof guttering is purely cosmetic and no you should not do any damage putting it back on but just make sure your careful as you could scratch the paint better with 2 of you you to put it on and the other person to hold the rest when putting it on though use some hot water to soften it up on the corners but not boiling water and that should make it easier to fit

the plastic guttering is purelly cosmtic you dont need to have it on you car

the only purpose of the plastic roof guttering is to trap water and help your mini rust quicker
