Hi guys, I import classic cars from Italy to sell in England. I have just secured a 1968 Innocenti Mk2 Cooper 1000 that needs restoring and an absolutely stunning Mk3 Innocenti Cooper 1300. Have a look at the photos and let me know your thoughts as I am a bit unsure how these do back home. I also have myself a lhd 1993 Cooper I got in Italy with only 60000 kms

I don't think you would have any trouble selling either of those in the UK.

Importing from another EU country should be relatively straightforward.    Having seen the prices achieved for Mini's at the Historics Classic car auction at Brooklands a couple of weeks ago I'd be tempted to put them both into a similar type auction.

Just beware that the headlamps will dip the wrong way and that the correct Lucas units will not fit the Carello bowls or rings. Not horrendous issues but something to keep in mind. The 1300 looks fabulous, should do very well. Looks like there's been a few minor modifications to the engine, different servo, carbs, and radiator fitted for starters if you're going for originality. But nothing too radical.

My Inno 1300 Cooper Export had Wipac headlights and still retained the Inno headlight rims. That was how I got it and it didn't seem to have been a problem.

It had been converted to right-hand-drive, but I converted it back because a RHD Innocenti is simply not right, especially as the instrument panel is for a LHD configuration and there was never a RHD Innocenti. In fact it was part of the licencing agreement that only LHD cars would be built.

They are lovely cars though.

Here is mine with the original headlight rims & Wipac light units:
