Hi guys I've had a good search but with no real answers on this camshaft I plan to buy

but is anybody using this camshaft or know any further info on it?  im looking into it too replace my damaged SW10 cam and follower issue

my spec is 1380, HIF44 with minispares inlet, ported head with 37mm in & 29mm ex valves, CR 10;69;1 with megajolt and balanced bottom end.

This is only really for road use and looking to detune my engine slightly and keep the rev limit down to 6500 rather than my previous higher limit. (7200rpm)

Any info or suggested cams welcome

Chris

The evo001 should be perfect for you then, I asked the question do Gavin at mini spares. Have one in mine now, great cam! But can't comment too much as I haven't driven it enough now
Cheers

I'd suggest an APT VP7. Be sure to also use their cam followers too.

I've used a number of these now and given your basic engine spec, I know you'll be impressed with not only how it will perform, but also how well these parts will last.

<EDIT: I'll also point out that David Vizard was a partner for many years in this business, post his 'Yellow book' era and he had a hand in laying down the foundations for these cams. >

I am running a 1380 with a evolution 001 cam in it and it runs brilliant a lot better then the 276 cam which I had in it. Its not lumpy at all and is great through the rev range as well

I am running twin SU's with high lift roller rockers as these are what I had in before the change but this will run on standard rockers.

Your compression ratio is too high for any road cam.

Depends on what you want from your engine.
For a road car I'd take EVO001 anyday over the evo002

Could you add a reason on why you would prefer the 001?
