What is the connection location for the lower end of the throttle return spring?

I don't know if all years had it but it should have something like this and hooks into the small hole at the bottom.

That looks like a HS2? (1-1/4")

 

There was a bracket that went under one of the nuts on the clamp on exhaust manifold.

Alex, my carb bracket does not have that feature.

 

Moke, I don't seem to have the bracket in my parts inventory.  I'll have to fabricate one.

part number you need is 12G766 have a look on 'EBay.

Looks to me like an HS2 carb. In which case you need a 12A5 bracket, item 30 in the picture here http://www.minispare...ets.aspx?1~6~58
Pretty easy to fabricate one.
Nick louse the 12G766 is the abutment bracket for the HS4 (as shown in Alex's picture)
