I have a 91 Mayfair and I am trying to replace the old indicator units but having issues. Now I am a bit of a novice at this so please be gentle. So I unscrew and take out the old unit and there seems to be a number of wires coming out. My replacement units, have a single wire. Anyone come across this, I can do some pictures if that helps.Attached File  image.jpeg   26.95K   2 downloads
That's the one I have bought..just the one wire ??

Your originals should have two wires coming out cannot remember the colour without checking for sure but think it is green with a red trace, the other one will be black. The green/red is your live feed and the black is earth. On your replacements the blue wire is your live feed and instead of the black earth wire the indicator body is earthed through the indicator body and self tapping securing screws that secure the indicator body to the front panel.

You can fit the replacements or return them perhaps and get the correct two wire ones, personally I prefer the twin wires as you can have problems getting a good earth with the single wire system.

Use the 2 wires and attach the black earth to one of the retaining screws, then you have 2 points of earth.
