I have recently bought a 1000 mini and put in a 1275 a plus engine in. Does the heater pipes work in the same way or do they need to be plumbed in different as I don't have any heat.
I really want to know where to start to fix this as winter is coming and want to use mini
Thanks in advance

There is no difference.

You may have an air lock or a poor water pump.

as above -

It's a valid question for anyone to ask , noob or not

if in doubt , ask - there is always someone who will know on here

another possibility is a matrix has got blocked with crud from the 1275 engine ,

there is usually crud sat at the bottom of the water jackets , when this dries out , it sometimes flakes off & finds a new home in the heater matrix

but my money on air lock first , pump the larger hoses - see if air comes out

best of luck

(remember antifreeze this time of year - easily forgotten)

Can you post a picture or two of how you have the pipework arranged? It may help a diagnosis.

It could be as simple as an airlock at a high point. But disconnecting both hoses and flushing the heater through in both directions with a garden hose is a useful thing to do anyway as, as already suggested, they do get bunged up with crud.

Thanks
I've got to clean the system out, as mentioned it is dirty. I will clean matrix out and I'm putting a new radiator on anyway so hopefully this will sort it out
Thanks for your help
