Hi, i wonder if anyone could help me? My Mini Mayfair smells of petrol when i start it up but soon disappears. The car also chugs abit when i first drive off but this too soon disappears after about one minute but i am still a bit concerned. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

It'll just be because you have the choke out. I wouldn't worry about it, all old cars give off that petrol smell when cold.

Thank you for replying. My Mini is a 1996 Mayfair and does not have a choke though. Any other ideas?

I should have said that it has an automtic choke
