Can anyone help. I am trying to fit up the drivers door in a restoration. The door has had a new door skin and I have fitted a new door window channel rubber.

The window goes about half of the way up and then sticks solid. You can just about force it to move with the regulator but it's clearly not right.

Can anyone help?

Is one of the regulator bolts too long and catching the regulator arm as it goes up, does the window go up alright with the regulator out, does the regulator work ok out of the door, is the window side channel fitted properly.

At the moment I am trying to close the glass without the regulator fitted. I have removed the channel seal, checked it and refitted it ok.

So it goes up without the seal but jams with the seal in? Check the inside of the channel, and the seal, carefully for lumps or protrusions. Maybe the channel (upper part of dior) has become distorted?
