My brother needs some 'prune' coloured 1275GT 'sidewinder' stripes for an early bronze yellow 1275GT restoration.
Somerfords list them as sold out.....any ideas for alternative supplier?

Prune.  By the stars they didn't have much imagination those days!  Or perhaps prunes were 'exotic' then? Sorry can't help on the prunes :-)

You may have already seen that Sticky Fingers stock GT stripes in a variety of colours - although repro colours not referenced to original options. I'm sure if you spoke to them they could get a match for the original colour - does Prune appear on any BL colour charts from the period?

(I've not used them for decals, but they seem frequently recommended elsewhere on the forum)

I've always used these.

Absolutely spot on. some of the reproductions the text is all wrong but these look brilliant.

Prune will be the purple ones, but always worth asking. Jason sent me vinyl samples of the blues to make sure I got the right ones when I bought mine.

I've got his silver stripes on my green GT, and a set of blue stripes to go on my white car. If it wasn't such an arse of a job I'd be replacing the black stripes on my yellow car with a set of his too.

I'm sure any competent vinyl sign makers will help you out. One of my local sign businesses Artmachine made ones up for me, I gave them the width of the stripes and they got the font style from the web, a few minutes later and I had a set in my hands along with a period correct boot badge all changed from 1275 to 1330. So if they could easily do it then I'm sure any decent outfit could,

Does anyone know what colour stripes would be on an applejack green GT? Mine had been repainted black with gold before I got it. Thanks

I can get the sidewinder stripes made up in either the Mauve or Violet below......any thoughts on which is closest to 'Prune' as BL intended on a Bronze Yellow 1275GT?
