Help needed please, I have a 97 MPi, following a reg service the car wouldn't start. After lots of checks from the usual helpful points on the forum I found a faulty starter where the wire from the solenoid to starter had broken. After referb'ing the starter and refitting today I turned the key with high hopes only to get nothing.....I've checked the battery and that's fine replaced the immobiliser battery. I've checked fuses both in car and the ones under the bonnet. Any idea, it's starting to drive me mad.......

Have you by any chance dislodged the crank sensor(I think) it's on the clutch housing near to the oil filter and starter motor think the connector is coloured blue.

I'd go back to basics, when you turn the key are you getting a live feed at the starter solenoid? If not, check it out further up the line at the ignition switch.
