Just in case anyone's interested, I took a quick pic whilst changing my headlamps this morning.

 

On the left, a new Cibie / Valeo H4 lamp fitted with Osram Nightbreaker bulb, on the right the original sealed beam unit:

It's a 'proper' light as opposed to an 'electric candle'  :lol: .

The difference decent lights make is amazing, one trip in the dark with the old sealed beams was enough for me, first thing I changed on my current Mini, also fitted relays & fuses, which gave about 0.5 volts extra to the lights & protects all the switch gear.

Use Osram Nightbreaker /Phillips Xtreme Vision bulbs in all my cars.
