After some great fun track days on Yokohama A048s, I've now switched back to always running the tyres I have to run for sprints (A539s are about the only thing on the MSA list for my class) - I might as well be practicing on the same tyres I have to compete on, it's a shame as the A048s are so much better.
That's left me with an almost unused set of 12" A048-R tyres, plus a couple of well used ones, for sale for someone else to have fun with :)
All are Yokohama A048-R 165x55 R12. The manufacturing dates are all either 5109 or 0110, so very end of '09, start of '10.
They're essentially 3 pairs:
1 pair have only been on the car on the road, and have probably done about 50 road miles, they still measure the same tread depth as new (official new depth is 4.76 and they're as close to that as I can measure).
1 pair have, from memory, been on the back of the car for a part of a track day, and so have some wear but very little, but still measure about 4.5 mm.
In terms of the rubber left (or hours worth of trackday fun, if you like :) ) those 4 will do pretty the same job as a full new set.
The last pair have been on the front of the car for more than a full track day, but one of them is still road legal and would do a few laps, and could be handy as a spare. The other is toast, take it or leave it with me and I'll have it properly disposed of. The price is really for the 4 good ones.
Price for all of them is £175, close to half the price of a new set.
They can be collected from BD20 (Silsden, west yorks), or I can deliver them near Skipton, Keighley, Bradford, Leeds or Hebden Bridge, if you're anywhere in that area drop me a message and I'll see what I can do. I'm happy to have them collected by courier if I have enough info on how to pack them, but I'm not in during the day very often for them to be picked up.
