Afternoon all  - just come across a fitting conflict - have just finished my engine & box and before it goes in am having a look at the few bits & bobs I've collected to go on.... one of which is:

but..... I find there's an issue...... engine already has:

...fitted -  the longest protrusion  from each of these competes for the same bolt hole... I'm considering slicing off the end of the bracket on the additional stabiliser bracket and welding the pair together to make a one piece stabiliser bracket to accommodate both front and rear bars..... but..... has anyone come across this before? and if so what was your solution????

Ironically not my only conflict - I've an UES but to contend with the lack of temp sender in the head (an SPi 12G940B) I've found a 12G106 thermostat housing that accommodates the sender got to put a half hoop in the UES bracket to fit......

Cheers all

normally you use one or the other on the clutch side. don't think I would like to use both. but would fit the one on the timing end.

Cheers Nick - I've got the two standard bars in place and the UES - holds the lump fairly rock steady with just a hint of give may just omit the fourth stabiliser for now...

Two on the bottom left and right don't do much of anything for engine movement but do help keep everything in place
